During the month of August plus the later part of July, and the beginning of September, my wife and I were holidaying in France and the UK, so consequently this month is a mixture of Spain & France, we drove up through the Sierra Mountains, through the Parque Natural de Maria los Veléz, (the roads were very precarious, with lots of hairpin bends etc, on through Pueblo de Don Fadrique, then through the Parque Natural, Cazorla, Segura, Villas, to Helin, then Albacete, Madrid, to Burgos where we spent the first night at the Hotel Castilla de Corona.

Next morning after a good breakfast we carried on through Pais Vasco, (ETA country) and crossed the border at Irun, then on up through Bordoux to Poitiers, Where we spent the second night in the Hotel Comfort Inn very nice, we also had time to have a walk and do a little sight seeing.

Next morning we proceeded on to a place called St Aignan de Couptrain, where we spent the next 4 days at our old friends place, while we were there we went and did a little sightseeing "various pictures on the next few pages".

We then drove to the port of Caen where we caught the boat for the UK.

I discovered that I had left my camera and lots of paperwork back in France so had to come back the same way, this time through the Chunnel, we had 2 nights at our friends Joe and Sandra, in St Aignan de Couptrain, who by the way has a cottage for sale "Photo´s etc on page 5".
Then on to Poitiers to the Golf Hotel, a very posh place but very reasonable.

The next day we proceeded on to Burgos, (back in good old Spain), and we stayed at a fabulous hotel the Hotel del Cid, right in front of the Basilica.
Next day back to Oria, (HOME AT LAST).
