Lijar is a small very pretty Pueblo, it lies in the Almanzora Vally, approximatly 170 KMs south east of Granada, 77 KMs north west of Almeria, and 75 KMs west from Mojacar, there are only a few British Ex-Pats there, but there are quite a few in the nearby Pueblo of Albanchez, the only industry is Almonds, Olive´s, Orange´s and Lemons. The nearest large towns are Albox, and Olula-del-Rio and of course Macael, one of the largest producers of Marble in the South of Spain.
